Taylor Children Centre (TCC) is supervised by the Director who has over 30 years of childcare experience and is both nationally and internationally certified. Our teachers are also certified and have numerous years of experience teaching young children. All together the staff has over 50 years’ experience of working with children and families.
Theresa Taylor – Msc (Applied Psych), Bsc (Hons. Pysch), PGCE, NNEB (Childcare and Education)
Director
Theresa Taylor is the founder of Taylor’s Adult Learning Service (TALS) in the island of Grenada who delivers training in Childcare and Education to adult students. Theresa has over 25 year’s experience of working with children and families in therapeutic settings, hospital, community, health, nursery and schools. Her extensive knowledge, skills and attitude in working with children and her years of lecturing in childcare will benefit her students to achieve their goals.
Caroline DeGrilla–Belfon
Early Years Educator
Caroline Belfon has over 10 years of experience, when it comes to working with children and their families from diverse backgrounds, these experiences were gained from working in pre-school in Trinidad and at the GAP.
Caroline has completed her training in CACHE Level 2 accredited course in Early Years Education and Care and is currently awaiting The Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce as an Early Years Educator.
Caroline joined Taylors Children Center (TCC) since its opening in September, 2018. Caroline’s knowledge, skills and attitude has been demonstrated by her extensive training and skills in working with staff, children and their families she is conscious discipline trained, first aid, CPR and AED trained and also has certified training in fire safety for young children. Caroline has pursued training and gained A+ certification in Slow Learning, Dyslexia and Autism and has completed training in Understanding Learning Disabilities such as Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyspraxia and Dysphasia/Aphasia. Caroline has completed certified training in pre-school management in China and has over 5 years of experience teaching at preschool level in Trinidad. Her most recent training in April was The Importance of Play in Learning and Development.
Nalisha Farray
Early Years Educator
Nalisha Farray has over 11 years of experience working with children and their families from diverse backgrounds, interests and experiences gained from working in the UK and at the GAP. Nalisha now works with Taylors Children Center (TCC) since its opening in September, 2018. Her knowledge, skills, and attitude show itself in her knowledge of child development, her skills in working with children who has special educational needs and her attitude towards working with staff and families from diverse backgrounds. Nalisha has completed her training in CACHE Level 2 accredited course in Early Years Education and Care and is currently awaiting The Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce as an Early Years Educator. Nalisha is conscious discipline trained, first aid, CPR and has recently completed courses in Autism and The Importance of Play in Learning.
Kelly Ann Phillip
Early Years Practitioner
Kelly Ann Phillip is a certified CACHE Level 2 Childcare Practitioner at Taylors Children Center (TCC) since its opening in September 2018. Prior to this Kelly Ann was a Montessori teacher for almost 3 years in Bambinos, Island Montessori School and a Childcare Worker in Canada. All together she has had over 11 years’ experience of working with children and their families. She is conscious discipline trained first aid and CPR.
Kelly Ann recently completed a course in Autism and The Importance of Play in Learning and Development. Kelly Ann’s knowledge, skills and attitude are demonstrated on a daily basis in working with staff, children and families.
Sheena John
Early Years Practitioner
Sheena John is a certified CACHE Level 2 Childcare Practitioner at
Taylors Children Center (TCC) since its opening in September 2018. Prior to this Sheena was a Montessori teacher for almost 3 years in Bambinos, Island Montessori School.
